At this time Sunday gatherings will be cancelled until further notice.
In response to standards set out by the government of British Columbia limiting the size of public gatherings, the leadership team at Community Baptist Church has made the decision to cancel our Sunday services until further notice. There are some important things to consider as we navigate through this season as Christians joined to a local body of believers. First, while we are limited in gathering, the financial needs of the church pertaining to both ministry and facility costs will not be significantly affected. Therefore, we are significantly considering what it looks like for us as a church to be good stewards of resources in a time like this. Yet beyond that, while we have never been a church focused on gaining finances, in light of the present circumstance, we do ask that you consider how you can continue to support both the ministry and resources of the church presently and into the future. Secondly, we feel it's always important to be reminded of the goodness of God in Jesus Christ through the gospel - so rather than spend all our energy focusing on the why question, let's choose to focus on the what and the how questions - and more specifically - what is it Lord that you would have us think and do about our situation and how Lord can we carry out the great commission and glorify you in Vernon - even in the midst of this challenging time?
