About our community...
Community Baptist Church has been in Vernon since 1980 and is located at the base of Silver Star Mountain. We exist to glorify God in Jesus Christ by actively pursuing His friendship, staying committed to the truth of His Word, and eagerly desiring His Spirit to work in and through us as we minister to one another and the broader community we've been called to serve.

Currently we have an ongoing weekly discipleship group, a regular prayer gathering, and an equipping class called Encounter where we learn about and pursue the spiritual gifts. At various times throughout the year we host special events aimed at bringing people together in the unity of the gospel. The best way to stay informed is to connect with us here:

We desire to be a church making an impact for Jesus far beyond these walls. Our desire is to see Vernon and the entire world saturated with the gospel and served in practical ways. We support various missions and community helping organizations with prayer, time, and resources. To learn more about our mission initiatives please click link below:
Currently we are utilizing The Gospel Project as our Sunday School curriculum. If you would like more information on what that is, please click link below or feel free to connect with us for more information about our community and how we are looking to disciple our children!
Here at Community we believe every disciple should be praying for sick, the hurting, and those potentially struggling with spiritual affliction such as demonization. Our desire is to be theologically sound, responsible and compassionate, and helpful to those we care for while we minister in prayer and deliverance.
